I grew up on Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit and Im looking to scratch that itch. I'm also big fan of fromsoft and their dark tragic storytelling.
Been reading a lot of lovecraft recently as well, so horror elements are a bonus.
Malazan is literally dark souls in book form… massive world, tragic characters, and you piece together the lore yourself. warning though it’s dense and doesn’t hold your hand at all
