I can't get out of my reading slump! I would love a series or standalone that is a bit funny or witty and is fantasy, mystery or spooky. I don't really read spicy books, as so many of them are badly written. Same with romantasy. I don't mind a bit of romance, but so many are just tropes with boring storylines.
I am happy to try new genres, and like a feisty protagonist. My favourite authors are ; Terry Pratchett, Agatha Christie, Jim butcher, Patricia Wentworth, Jane Austen, p d James.
Any ideas? I really wish I could read terry Pratchett for the first time, as I would love a series I can't stop.

Witty Mystery: The Spellman Files
I think Dorothy L Sayers is witty. I would check out Murder Must Advertise or Gaudy Nights
Strange Pictures got me out of my reading slump. Good mystery and cool format with a nice quick pace. And next I read The Decagon House Murders which is very Agatha Christie but Japanese so it was something different and refreshing for me.
The Stranger Times series by C.K. McDonnell sits on the junction of comic/horror/supernatural set around a tabloid newspaper that reports on strange events.
