I would like to improve my personality in a way people stop messing with me. I am a woman engineer and it has been hard.
I have been bullied by my colleague, talked down to, disrespected, asked to leave and go get married.
And this isn't just this workplace. As a student too, I have been excluded in groups, underestimated and disrespected. I am so so done. Cause in the end, I am only left with narrating who did what to me etc.
If it stays like this, I can’t get successful.
I need suggestions for books you guys found helpful in this regard.

There is a little book about office politics written for engineers. It’s called “The Unwritten Laws of Engineering”. Apart from this, I think you could use Verbal Judo by Thompson, Thank You for Arguing by Heinrichs and Never Split the Difference by Voss. Mark Goulston and Oren Klaff are two hidden gems.
I also suggest “Emotional Intelligence 2.0” by Bradberry and everything by Robin Dreeke just in case some behaviors of yours are part of the problem.
