A little about the characters: Erika is an interesting character, but she's the cliché of an unreliable cop struggling to prove her worth to the police department. The serial killer presented in the book is "tradicional", not much different from what you typically see in books, series, and films of this genre. For me, personally, the most interesting character is the forensic pathologist. From the very first description, he was intriguing and a little bit enigmatic, and I think he could have been the serial killer; honestly, the book would have been very good if it had been him. The discovery of the killer's identity is also done without much creativity… While the police discover the serial killer's name at the police department, Erika makes the same discovery simultaneously. I think this book is quite too "commercial", and quite easy to read (which is not a bad thing); it won't take you more than a day to read, but it's also quite enjoyable. For me, knowing that it was her brother who did those things was a bit of a pretense on the author's part, but it ends up being hilarious… The ending is a bit "boring" because it's also a typical ending for books of this genre… despite that, i think the combination of elements in the story—a murderous brother, the daughter of influential people, a detective trying to get back on her feet—ends up giving the book a certain charm

What did you guys think of the story? What was your experience like while reading it?
