I know this is a bit specific, but I’m looking for a story similar to a few movies I’ve watched. Where a group of characters get together under the guise of civility but there’s obviously an air of tension that gradually escalates until chaos ensues. I guess you would call it a locked room mystery?
Does anyone know of a book that sounds similar to this?

A lot of Lucy Foley books fit this vibe but they’re not specifically dinner parties (although I feel like there ARE dinner parties?)
No, a locked room mystery is something else (murder takes place in a sealed room – how did the murderer get in?).
“Country house mysteries” are often like what you describe here. Classic Agatha Christie style. I’m not thinking of one focused on a dinner party but I expect there are several.
The Dinner by Herman Koch.
I loved the book. The movie version can be skipped though.
The Wasp Trap by Mark Edwards
7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle maybe?
Last One at the Wedding seems similar
