I loved the little house series as a kid and now I’m looking for some more comfort reads similar to those books. I loved the earlier books especially, I feel like they really capture Laura’s childlike wonder at everything and I love the descriptions of nature.

Elizabeth Enright is great too. I loved Thimble Summer, the Gone-Away Lake books, and the Melendy books.
