I don't know why but I really enjoy those. I know I could just buy cookbooks, but somehow being wrapped up in the story and then getting a recipe triggers like a "taste" aspect to my book reading experience. I also enjoyed Mediterranean Summer by David Shellack, it's a memoir but an well written entertaining one so it felt like fiction, it also had some great recipes.

*Deadeye Dick* by Kurt Vonnegut has several.
Check out Joanne Fluke. Kind of cheesy, but my daughter and I did a book club for Christmas, and Christmas Dessert Murder was the pick. We had a fun time reading and discussing.
Heartburn by Nora Ephron has a potato and bacon recipe I keep meaning to try.
