When I was younger I used to read often but I stopped and lately I’ve been getting more into visual novels and now I want to try reading books again!
I recently played Shuten Order and the setting and story got me interested in sci-fi and I thought it’d be nice to read a book with a unique sci-fi setting. The setting and story I liked from Shuten Order was an cult city that was completely cut off from the rest of the world with the protag being the cult leader that was killed and temporarily revived without their memories and has to find out who killed them to get their memories back and stay alive permanently.
I also played monster prom 4 which made me want to read a slice of life story where it’s just different fantasy species hanging out and having fun.
I also played Ai Somnium Files. I loved the plot twists in the game and it makes me want to read a good sci-fi mystery. Especially if one with an amazing plot twist.
Also a fantasy slice of life with just a group of friends or adventurers exploring a world for fun would be interesting! I want to read and see what different creatures, spells, and places the writer was able to come up with.
Thank you for anyone that shares any recommendations! I tried searching online for good books but I was only able to find like two good ones.
