Yeah,I'm NOT very good at naming genres, but what genre fits "Alice in adventures in wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There" and "Peter pan" and "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho?.

And have read about (probably more) 15% of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and 20% only of "Dune" by Frank Herbert and I've read about maybe 5% or less of many other books mostly the classics,

("The Odyssey","The Iliad","Frankenstein" "Moby Dick", "Pride and Prejudice", "A Christmas Carol","War of the Worlds","The Hobbit","1984","the Canterbury Tales","Charlie and the Chocolate Factory","The comedy" by Dante Alighieri, "scary stories to tell in the dark", "Beowulf", "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight").

But I have had read to me in school high school that is pretty much the entirety of "Prodigy" by Marie Lu but that's about it.
And you don't have to fit all of the books have named but only the frist 4 books and maybe "Prodigy" and maybe "THGTG" (Douglas Adams) but even they aren't that important to this answer so, give it your best shot and I ask because people always ask when I bring up book recommendations but I don't know what to say so, thank you if you can help.

So fantasy broadly covers the first 4. Sci-Fi covers Dune and THGTG. I believe Prodigy falls into the Dystopian genre. Those genres cover a chunk of the other books you’ve listed aswell.

    2. Alice and Peter share a trope of traveling to a different world and exploring it, The Alchemist is also about this kind of travel, but to a different country, not a differet world. They are all pretty much fairytale-like. You might like The Chronicles of Narnia.
