Hello, I'm looking for contemporary or historical fiction set in a city (or on the outskirts) that has the most evocative descriptions of light, darkness and color. Oversaturated sunsets, black back alleys, iridescent gas spilled on asphalt, blinding-bright mornings. Indoors, sickly yellow lamp light, sharp moonlight and shadow, or grey-lilac dawn. Something that will feel as vivid as a movie. Thank you!
PS. If you have recommendations like that outside of urban setting that's okay too.
