Hi everyone!
I want to start reading a book that could really catch my teacher’s attention and make her appreciate my taste. I’m looking for something modern, smart, and impactful and psychological that will change my view of the world something that shows I think deeply and have good taste in literature.
Any recommendations for a recent or contemporary book that would impress a teacher?
Thanks a lot!

Teachers are just people. For all anyone knows she might hate literature and read nothing but smut when she’s not on the clock. She might not read at all.
Just read whatever interests you. There’s really no point in picking up a book to impress someone else.

Find out what your teacher’s favorite book is. Read it.
A teacher would rather see a student joyfully reading Wimpy Kid or a sexy vampire book than performatively reading Focault’s Pendulum
But if you’re determined, try Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Friere
