Hi there!
I'm currently playing in a game of Old Gods of Appalachia as a traveling snake oil salesman whose products actually work. The conceit is that he's traveling the rails collecting folk remedies and herbal cures then packaging, selling them, and putting together a collection of everything he's learned. There is some magic involved, but Im looking for some reference material for the more scientific aspects and letting the magic/woo stay in system. It would also be nice to not have to Google whatever may be relevant and I could give my GM some guidance on what Id be looking for next.
Also having a little knowledge of some home remedies as well as the underlying reason why they work would be cool too!
I've done some casual browsing and Forgotten Home Apothecary by Dr. Nicole Apelian seems like it would be my best option, if not the most highly regarded by people more genuinely interested in prepping/home remedies. Im hoping someone here could give me some recommendations.
