Just to be clear, she ASKED for “dark romance” books for her birthday
one time i looked up a book she said she was reading, called “Twisted Love” it wasn’t as smutty as some other books i’ve heard of but it was a little awkward knowing my little sister was reading that (it was smut)
I feel like if i get her something super raunchy it’s like?? some form of grooming or some shit… like an 18 year old brother buying his little sister smut… but it’s what she wants for her birthday
what is something slightly more age appropriate i can buy her? Something that isn’t full on 50 Shades of Grey but she’ll still enjoy and i won’t be creepy if i buy it for her?? 😭 🙏 pls help me im just tryna be a supportive brother

Has she read the Twilight novels? I remember reading them at that age and loving it! I feel it fits dark romance!
“Tress of the Emerald Sea” is Princess Bride levels of romance, definitely appropriate for any age group (without being too “mainstream”).
The first “Fourth Wing” installation is fun enough, not too immature. Can’t speak as well about the second and third books.
“The Invisible Life of Addie Larue” has an A+ dark love interest, and I think the best recommendation I personally can make that sounds close to what she’s looking for without being softcore porn.
