I've been procrastinating lately, but I still can't get the courage to do something, I deleted all distractions, but I still can't do it, what book should I read so I could replace my distraction into something productive. Like my habit is just doom scrolling in TikTok, reading manga, watching anime, and playing chess all day long, what book fits for me to be more productive?

    1. Chess makes me think of either Queens Gambit by Walter Tevis or A Chess Story by Stefan Zweig

    2. Fiction Recs:

The Six Deaths of the Saint by Alix E. Harrow is a great book that’s also pretty short to get you that dopamine completion boost. I think The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw fits that. If Cats Disappeared from the World by Genki Kawamura is a light read that you might like if you enjoy Japanese literature.

      Nonfic Recs:
Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green, very readable and I can confirm reading it makes you feel productive! But also very dismayed at the state of the world. Fluent in 3 Months by Benny Lewis for learning a skill you can apply irl. Unfree Speech by Joshua Wong for a memoir that will make you passionate about foreign affairs that haven’t made the media cycle.
