Hey guys! I graduated this summer and am starting to get the itch to get back into non-fiction. However, I am struggling to find reads that speak to me. My degree was in politics, but my interests mostly lie at its intersection with media, cultural criticism, and sociology. I am also intrigued by works by women and queer people and those that deal with concepts of gender, beauty and power. I am hoping to find some books that are a happy medium between academic quality and readability. So yeah, I'm not fussy…
Some books that have already interested me are Bad Taste by Nathalie Olah, Notes on Camp by Susan Sontag, and Hair/Power by Kajal Odedra.
Help a girl out!
