Okay, hypothetical: You could get access to stories custom-built around your exact reading preferences. Your favorite tropes, settings, character types, the works. All tailored to you.
Would you actually read it? Or is part of the magic finding a book that just happens to be perfect?
Asking because I'm working on something like this and want to know if it's actually solving a problem readers have, or if I'm overthinking.
Honest thoughts? Would this enhance your reading experience or take something away from it?

Probably not, I like exploring what authors come up with, not just affirming things I already know I like. Besides, this sounds an awful lot like an AI slop generator.
I think it could be useful for folks wanting to read and explore new fiction, but for me it’s the exact opposite of what I want my reading experience to be. I want to see the world through the eyes of someone not trying to write for me—but writing for themselves.
Where I could see this being useful is in educational texts curtailed to the educational level I’m currently at down to the lesson/concept.
Just sounds creepy, no. I don’t even like cards designed for me
no, sounds like something for fan fiction fans- like an AI watpadd perhaps? Idk.
But I perfer writing written by humans. And a huge aspect is exploring their thoughts/worlds/expression, etc.
My future will have enough AI slop in it without me seeking it out, I suspect.
