So I just finished End of Story by A.J. Finn, what a ride. It follows Nicky Hunter, a crime novelist who visits Sebastian Trapp, a reclusive and once-famous author, to help him write his biography. As she digs into his past, old secrets come back to haunt her, including the mysterious disappearance of his wife and son 20 years ago. Every character is well-developed, and Finn skilfully pulls the rug from under you just when you think you’ve got it all figured out.
It’s a mind-bending psychological thriller that keeps you on edge and questioning everything! The pace is a bit slow at first, but it builds beautifully towards a sharp and emotional ending. The atmosphere is atmospheric, full of literary references, and it has that classic “gothic mansion mystery” vibe with a modern psychological twist.
⭐ Rating: 4.2/5
💭 Vibe: Twisty, elegant, emotional — perfect for fans of Gillian Flynn or Paula Hawkins.
If you like psychological thriller then it’s a must for you.
