Looking for literary fiction set in contemporary Japan that deals with electronics, consumer tech, or digital life, but through a human lens. Less neon-dystopia, more about how technology shapes relationships, loneliness, or daily reality.
Any books that blend modern Japanese life with tech themes in a grounded way?

Not a fiction. But I loved Jake adelstein’s “Pay the Devil in Bitcoin”.
Talks about the rise and fall of Bitcoin in Japan and the judiciary investigations that followed.
I love adelstein’s way of writing which makes you feel like you’re in a detective novel. But perhaps it’s not exactly what you were looking for?
