I'm having trouble figuring out what type of genre(s) I really love.

So many books so little time! I feel like I've started and put down so many books!

Also, what other books do you recommend I read?

I have really loved fantasy in the past, dont really like romance or romantasy. Love fiction. Don't like historical fiction so much. Prefer to avoid dystopian future but have never tried it.

    Loved the demon cycle series.
Loved lady tan's circle of women.
    Loved the mermaid of jeju.
Loved the Thursday murder club and we solve murders, memoirs of a geisha, harry potter, home for unwanted girls.

Remarkably bright creatures was decent. My friends was decent.
Didnt really like ACOTAR, oryx & crake. Did not like freida McFadden.
Don't like books where the main character is some helpless dummy that can't understand the world.

I think i dont prefer third person? What is it that all these books have in common?! What else would i like?!
I'm a chick if it makes any difference.

I also like easy reads that arent painfully stupid. Ex. not freida mcfadden. I can only roll my eyes so many times before I give up on a book.

    Edit: don't like fae stuff.

    1. Try Neil Gaiman, TJ Klune, or V.E. Schwab. Character-driven, a bit magical, not dumb or cheesy.
