A pretty woolly description, but I'm approaching 30 and I'm feeling quite lost in life. I don't have any goals, I'm unsure on what direction my life is heading, and I feel like I want the world and then absolutely nothing at the same time.
I'm coming into my own in that I was always quite introverted, but I am now going to parties/clubs by myself and love to travel by myself. I'm looking to read a book that will help me make sense of things more, perhaps vicariously through interesting characters/ plots. I love twist-and-turns books and an element of mystery. Something maybe slightly kitschy and fun, but also grounded and critically acclaimed.
I'm also gay so anything book with gay characters is a bonus.
Basically, any book that has themes of loneliness, existentialism, nihilism, etc.
