I’m in the mood for a thriller, and would like some unexpected twists without gratuitous violence and without any SA’s. Not into horror or anything paranormal.
Recently listened to:
My Cousin Rachel by Du Maurier (I’ve also read Rebecca) – really liked this one and the audiobook was quite good
I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh – I have to say this one had my attention at first, and I did not see the main twist coming. However, I wasn’t too keen on the second half and some of the info provided by the author about characters just seemed like filler; MC was a weak, helpless character but it was an ok audiobook
Have also read:
Shutter Island by Dennis LeHane
And Then There Were None and other books by Agatha Christie

Frederick forsyth was one of the best in the thriller genre. You can give his books s try, special recommendation for “The day of the jackal”
You can try the Harry bosch series by Michael connely ss well. LAPD homicide detective investigates murders and navigates department politics.
Some other authors I would recommend are Lee child (,the Jack Reacher series), Tom Clancy ,( his jack Ryan books) and Stephen hunter (his Bob lee swagger series)
Anything by Thomas Perry, not kidding!
