Books for a 7 year old filled with monsters and weird wildlife

I'm reading Beyond the Deep Woods from The Edge Chronicles to my son – in fact the same copy i read as a child – and he's loving it. He loves all the goofy animals and monsters and creatures in it. Its the first chapter book that's really hooked him (he prefers non fiction books about like, black holes and carnivorous plants or the body). He also likes doctor who, monster house, nightmare before christmas, hollow knight etc. Any recommendations?
