I just finished Mate by Ali Hazelwood and it has sent me into the biggest book hangover of all time! I’ve started and stop 4 different books because none are hitting after that. Please help me find something to scratch the itch. Here’s what I loved about Mate:

-protective, (secretly) yearning, grumpy but funny mmc paired with the witty, independent fmc

-banter that’s actually funny and sharp

-tension and yearning- a bit of a slow burn

-caretaking, hurt/comfort tropes, nesting etc- the coziness of all that

-amazing smut throughout but also an actual plot and actual character development. I love a balance

I’m really open to anything at this point but am drawn to omegaverse at the moment. Open to RH, fantasy and contemporary. I am desperate at this point

    1. You might check out the Saint of Steel series. So far, each book has its own love story along with a really interesting overarching premise, likeable characters, and reasonable character choices.

The guy who voices the audiobooks does a great job.

Ali Hazelwood’s Love Theoretically is the first of Hazelwood’s I ever read (though it was an audiobook), and since then, I’ve made it my life’s mission to listen to everything Therese Plummer narrates. If you haven’t read it, it’s also adorable.

I really liked Bride, and I am so excited to go read Mate now.
