The Dark Tower. It starts small and accessible with a short, straightforward western novel. Expanding into 8 books of beautiful, weird world-building.

I don’t read a lot of series so I don’t have a lot of experience with world building. But I really loved the Dune series

My favorites are Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson, and The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden.

Fairy Tale by Stephen King checked this box for me in a major way. It may not be a top 3 King novel of all time but perhaps the most invested I’ve felt in any world he’s built
