By this, I mean that I seem to keep reading books that I find to literally just be ‘okay’, ‘average’ and wouldn’t really consider them very memorable.
I would love to just find a book which I once again feel is a 5 star page turner, something that will stick with me for a long time.
To help, here are some books that I thought were amazing and 5 out of 5 for me:
* ‘The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo’ by Taylor Jenkins Reid
* ‘True Grit’ by Charles Portis
* ‘If We Were Villains’ by M.L. Rio
* ‘11.22.63’ by Stephen King
* ‘Of Mice and Men’ by John Steinbeck
* ‘I’ll Be Gone in the Dark’ by Michelle McNamara
* ‘The Killer Across the Table’ by John E. Douglas & Mark Olshaker
* ‘I Who Have Never Known Men’ by Jacqueline Harpman
So hopefully a decent mix, and I enjoy both fiction and nonfiction.
For some further clarity, here are a few books that I thought were just ‘okay’:
* ‘Fingersmith’ by Sarah Waters
* ‘Butter’ by Asako Yuzuki
* ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’ by Audrey Niffenegger
* ‘Atmosphere’ by Taylor Jenkins Reid
* ‘The Collector’ by John Fowles
* ‘No Longer Human’ by Osamu Dazai
Thank you in advance!
