The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. I wanted so badly to love it but it was so slow that I didn’t even finish it.

While I do support Asian female authors, I personally do find a lot of R.F. Kuang’s work hyped up prior to release, but… let’s just say, didn’t turn out to be what I expected, but I also acknowledge that the feedback on her novels tends to be quite black and white, like either you love it or you absolutely do not love it. Anyone else feels the same way?

Dark Matter. The writing was really simple. First person, present tense throughout. Good story put pedestrian grade 8 level writing.

I am still raging about how bad Intermezzo was and I read it almost a year ago. Also constantly surprised to hear that *anyone* enjoyed The Seven and a Half Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle.
