Do you guys have any books that will really make you think? I'm looking for war, historical, dystopian – honestly anything that will get your mind and emotions going!
I also like romance & fantasy, but I'm not a huge fan of contemporary romance so like.. none of that stuff. Thank you <3
I haven't read books since classes started because they've been destroying me, so I'm trying to get back to it lol

I will always recommend Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer, and I feel it matches your request perfectly.
Cloud Cuckoo Land
Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel. I can’t recommend this highly enough. Very thought provoking!

Book of M by Shepherd
A Short Stay in Hell by Peck
Blindness by Saramago
War – With the old breed by Eugene Sledge and Storm of steel by Ernst Junger
Historical – anything by Hillary Mantel
Dystopian – 1984 by George Orwell and Brave new world by Aldous Huxley
Fantasy- Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series
Some of the stories in The Deathbird Stories by Harlan Ellison really did the trick…
Black Boy by Richard Wright
The Little Liar – Mitch Albom
Read Superstoe by William Borden. Your library probably has it or can get it interlibrary.
It will definitely make you think.
