I’m 53f and will likely need to go back to work for at least two more years before I can retire. I’m taking some time off while on severance and with plenty of time on my hands, I’m struggling with my new identity, and grappling with what’s next. I started reading “What Color is My Parachute -Retirement Edition”, but feel it’s not as current with our times. (I really enjoyed the Parachute book in my 20s and thought it might be interesting to compare my insights now to then, but while I’m reading it, I’m questioning if there are better options
Someone recommended “The Artists Way,” but I’m wondering if that would be worthwhile. I enjoy being introspective and journaling though I haven’t had the time to do either in many years due to my former high-stress, demanding job. I really need some practical guidance as well. Any good book recommendations to help me figure out who I am, where I’m going and to make informed decisions? TIA
