hi everyone! i’m looking for a contemporary romance where the main characters are in their late 20s or 30s. i’m open to any kind of rom-com plot or even something more serious, but i’m mentioning these ages because i need a bit of reassurance that love will come eventually. might sound silly but i’m only 22 and i’ve never experienced romantic love so i’m hoping to find a book that is a love letter to my future self. thank you! <3

John Greene has you covered.
Waiting for Alaska is my rec.
I love this question. Romance is a REALLY big genre! I have a few questions just to narrow it down a little bit.
Are you interested in straight romance only, or LGBT?
What level of spice do you want? There are plenty of “closed door” romances where sex scenes are never written on the page, or on the other end of the spectrum there is some really explicit smut, and everywhere in between.
Are there any tropes you are particularly interested in, or not interested in? For example, some people don’t like an enemies-to-lovers scenario because it can be kind of stressful (even if you know there’s a happily ever after), but other people love that kind of thing.
