I loved the character Kim for his adaptability and his journey through different cultures and world religions in India. Can anyone suggest another book with a protagonist who navigates between very different spiritual or religious worlds? Fiction or non-fiction welcome

Citizen of the Galaxy by Robert Heinlein is a direct “homage” to Kim, but in Spaaaace!
Quest for Kim by Peter Hopkirk is a very interesting non-fiction about Kipling and Kim
One more! How about Kipling’s Captains Courageous? Smaller scope than Kim, but again a boy learns to navigate a new world
