I’ve been chasing my “reading high” from the moment I finished The Martian. Tying to look for similar solo adventure type of story with just a hand full of characters (less is more) with an easy to read writing style. (English isn’t my native language).

But I just ended up with a Kindle full of half read books. If the story has too many characters or a lot of side stories I tend to lose interest quite fast.

The other books of Any Weir sadly didn’t tickle the same itch. Never finished them…

Some books that I’ve read are

Ready Player on, was a good read although also quite a lot of side notes. 7/10

Fuzzy Nation, also was good-ish but didn’t make that much of an impact seeing I can’t remember much of it. 6/10

Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, was too heavy for me to read. Although the humor was good. 6/10

I got recommended “Into the wild” and was hoping for a diary type of read but it had so much side stories that I lost track. 5/10

And then there were none, was a nice read. 7/10

All in all I’m looking for easy to read books in the adventure thriller type of genre that stick to a single story line.

    Books on my list

    The River – Peter Heller
    Starter Villain – John Scalia
    Dark Matter – Blake Crouch
    Armada – Ernest Cline

But I’m very open to suggestions as I’m a bit in the dark try to find the right book.
