I haven’t sat down and read a whole book in its entirety since my 2 1/2 year old was born. He has stage 2 Autism and requires significant attention and I need an escape that will kinda stir that passion for literature/humanities again.
I just really need something that will keep my engaged so I can actually finish it. I’ve never really dove into the Horror/Thriller genre and thought it’d be a fun change from my usual classic literature (Mrs. Dalloway, Grapes Of Wrath, The Iliad are some faves) and non-fiction/memoir (last books I read to completion were The Body Keeps Score and Man’s Search for Meaning).

I’m not very into horror, but for someone with little time and attention span I would highly recommend a romance book – preferably a light-hearted rom com. If you’re up for it, try Love vs Scarecrow by Cassandra Gannon. It’s a very silly romance with a touch of thriller, but I promise you it’s a good time!
