My favorite kind of non-fiction history book is the kind that pretend you are a time traveler and talk about every day life, the mundane things of that time period. For example: "The Time Traveler's Guide to Medieval England" by Ian Mortimer. I also like history books that highlight the POV of women and other minorities.
However, I am looking for specific time periods/civilizations/POVs:
-Mesopotamia
-Mexico, any time period but especially the 1800's and early 1900's
-U.S. history from any time period between 1400's-1910 and any country/civilization
-any time period from women's/minorities POV
-any time period in central/south America pre-1950
-interesting topics within a time period, for example, sex during the middle ages
Thank you!
