I'm a science fiction/fantasy writer looking for inspiration and I looove trippy philosophical stuff like Altered States and Everything Everywhere All At Once. I feel like I have a good amount of fiction on my backlog like this so I'm looking for more nonfiction or philosophy books
Some other things I like, if it helps:
- The work of Arthur Schopenhauer
- Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
- Alan Watts
- Carl Sagan (We are a way for the cosmos to know itself)
- God Human Animal Machine (Megan o'gieblan)
- The Matrix
- Spinoza looks interesting but I've yet to read him
- Cosmic Horror in general
- The Egg by Andy Weir is my FAVORITE short story ever, followed by The Last Question by Asimov
