For example, I finally got around to reading A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara after having it on my shelf for two years. That book broke me. After I finished the last chapter I just sat there and cried. I adored that book and the storytelling (albeit some of it was pretty dense), but I don't think I could ever bring myself to read it again. I just wouldn't be able to re-live all the trauma it contained.
Do you have a book like that? One that you loved so much, but it would hurt too much to read again?

For me also, it’s a little life itself. I cannot bring myself to read this book again.

A Fine Balance. I loved every word but I don’t think I can put myself through it again.
For me it was a thousand splendid suns. I just don’t think I’d ever be able to pick it up again, it was so devastatingly beautiful.
