I don’t typically read books that are part of a series, but I’d like to give it a go. Open to pretty much anything except romance/romantasy. ACOTAR is definitely not for me. This year I’ve mostly read horror, sci fi and classics but I love trying out genres I wouldn’t normally go for.

    1. For a great dystopian series check out Margaret Atwood’s MaddAddam trilogy. It starts with Oryx and Crake.

    2. Try the *Arc of a Scythe* series by Neil Shusterman. Its a sci-fi novel based on a utopian world governed by thunderhead (Advanced form of cloud) and Scythes. I will put the Goodreads synoosis down below so tht its easy for u.

      **Synopsis:-**

      *Thou shalt kill.*

*A world with no hunger, no disease, no war, no misery. Humanity has conquered all those things, and has even conquered death. Now scythes are the only ones who can end life—and they are commanded to do so, in order to keep the size of the population under control.*

*Citra and Rowan are chosen to apprentice to a scythe—a role that neither wants. These teens must master the “art” of taking life, knowing that the consequence of failure could mean losing their own.*

The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman is my current favorite series. They’re mysteries with lovable, well-developed characters and a good amount of humor.
