I’ve been on a kick lately for alternate-history and counterfactual-history stories. You know, books that ask “what if…”
For example:
– What if Germany had actually won WWII?
– What if the British Empire had never colonized India?
– What if America didn’t exist, or the Roman Empire never fell?
Basically any story that rewrites a key historical event and shows how the world might look afterward, even if it drifts into dystopian or sci-fi territory.
I’d love recommendations that really dive deep into worldbuilding and social consequences rather than just the military side.
Any favourites?
