Hey everyone,
I’ve been diving deep into ancient military history, especially Xenophon and the Battle of Cunaxa (401 B.C.) — where 10,000 Greek mercenaries found themselves stranded deep in Persia after Cyrus the Younger’s failed uprising.
I recently finished writing a short historical book that explores the battle’s strategy and the incredible retreat that followed.
If you enjoy works like Anabasis or ancient military strategy in general, I’d love to hear if this sounds like something you’d read — or if there are similar titles you’d recommend!
