Any books that are so engaging, they’re impossible to put down, especially for people with ADHD?
I struggle to staying focused sometimes and tend to get distracted easily. Looking for recommendations for something fast paced!. Genre doesn't matter as long as its engaging.
lol totally understand this, though for me my hyperfocus meant any books I enjoyed I would literally not be able to put them down. I read lord of the rings in a day barely getting out of bed when I first read it . lol.

Tips: listening to an audiobook while I do household chores seems to work with my adhd so my brain doesn’t get bored. 🙂
Although it was a short modern fable / novella, only about 100 pages, I found the story in The River Has Roots kept me captivated and the black and white illustrations really helped me keep engaged. If you’re looking for something easy to get back into reading with, might be a nice start.
I’m currently listening to Skye Falling the narrator is a pretty captivating character, even when she’s not exactly likeable. Super captivating, great storytelling.

The Illuminae Files is fast fun sci fi, it got me out of a reading slump

Try The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. As much as people like hating on Dan Brown’s books here, they’re popular for a reason imo. I’m the same way with getting distracted and I found his writing really interesting and engaging. It’s got short chapters that end on cliffhangers and lead me to wanting to read the next chapter

The Firm. Try to read it like you are making a movie in your mind along with pacing. Sounds corny, but it helps to focus. The pace is good and never feels like it stops.
