Good starter book? I’m sick of my phone lately :)

I am looking for a new book (obviously lol) and I need some suggestions. I would give you some book topics I am interested in but I honestly have no idea because the last time I used to read regularly for fun was when I was a kid/tween. I will say though, I don't really like fantasy books and I hated Harry Potter so I hope that helps. I prefer books where I can learn something from it. I am in my first year of university and I want to spend less time on my phone, but every time I have tried picking up a book I find it extremely boring. Idk if there are many interesting books on school topics but I do like social psychology, law, and philosophy so if you know any related to those things let me know 🙂
