I'm in a big reading slump and having a really hard time focusing on reading. Since my brain craves novelty, I thought it would be fun to gather some interesting tips from you guys.
Mine is having multiple books going at once, and using a random wheel picker to pick the one I will read for the night.

I wonder if the OP is talking about ADHD.
Omg I do the same sometimes, having 3 books at once is fun. I also like reading in weird spots like on the floor under my desk or outside on a random bench, makes it feel new.
When in a slump, I try to pick up short and fast-paced books that keep me interested
Ikr! Reading slumps are brutal 😩One thing that weirdly helps me is switching formats instead of forcing focus. Like..I’ll listen to an audiobook version of the same book while doing chores, then pick up the physical copy later..feels like I’m tricking my brain into progress 😂
I don’t have much, but on a similar note, I used a spinning wheel for books both me and a coworker picked for the spooky season. Neither of us had any preferences out of 5 or 6 books, so we thought we’d do as many as possible. I loved it so much that I’ve started putting all of my TBR in a spinning wheel and I’ll be using it once I finish the one I’m reading right now. I’ve only managed to put in about 300 out of around 8000 but it’s fine since I actually get to filter through them again.

I buy unhinged books, in an array of fiction & non fiction – I have 60 books in my “to be read” pile.
Sometimes I just pick up one of those books based on the cover, I buy so many books I have no idea what most of them are to be honest – especially the fiction ones.
Today, I read “On Earth We Are Briefly Gorgeous” by Ocean Vuong. It was 7am on a Sunday and I picked it because the cover has beautiful flowers on it – and I got to understand why.
I finished it in 4 hours.
By 3pm I was dialled in to a book my friend purchased in New Zealand, it was a non fiction book about women in science throughout history – and I devoured every word. And I have great friends who are also reading new books and we sat in silence together to do so.
