I'm a reader of literary fiction and recently really enjoyed 'Breakdown' by Cathy Sweeney due to how introspective and detailed/observational it was about the setting and the fictional people and characters that populated it. Also the conversations the main character had with others made me think and I enjoyed the everyday type of quality to it. Like I was listening in on a real conversation. Other books that I enjoyed for similar reasons was 'The Sleep Watcher' by Rowan Hisayo Buchanan and 'Spill Simmer Faulter Wither' by Sara Baume. Any recommendations?
