What kind of genre is I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream?

I really love the world presented in I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream and I want to read/watch/play more like this. It’s supposed to be post-apocalyptic but that’s not exactly it. I wouldn’t put it in the same category as MadMax or Fallout. Does anybody know good books/movies/video games like this? Other great examples are Bird Box, ‘No, I’m Not A Human’ and Man After Man. I guess maybe War Of The Worlds too. Basically a world during the apocalypse and not really after, but it doesn’t have to be an apocalypse per se. I just think it’s so interesting to see how humanity reacts in extreme world-shaping events. Thanks!
