Books similar to Freida McFadden, but actually… good?

I enjoyed The Housemaid as a guilty pleasure, for all of the twists and turns and the page-turner quality. However, after reading The Housemaid’s Secret and finding it to be pretty trash, I’m eager to read a book of a similar style, but executed to a higher quality: which means better prose and less convoluted plot holes. Please recommend.
