Looking for a book (bonus points if you have a good series with at least 3-4 books in it) that is a political thriller (I suppose that’s the right genre) similar to Netflix’s show “The Diplomat.” Really enjoying this new season and looking for the next book or series to add to my reading list so I figured maybe something in this vein would be good.

The Slough House series by Mick Herron
It’s historical, set across the twentieth century, but Ken Follett’s Century trilogy has a very similar vibe, I think. Smart people in positions of power during times of global and political unrest.
