looking for books by canadian authors or with canadian characters that does not focus on indigenous issues

nothing wrong with indigenous people, but i’m looking for books about people like me. other countries are ok, except anything american. i like pretty much any genere, but i perfer things with some action and deep characters. i am ok with romance, as long as its not the main plot point. also no sex
