I’m currently going down the historical rabbithole, mostly reading about shipwrecks. I read The Wager and absolutely loved it, followed by In the Heart of the Sea by Nathaniel Philbrick, amazing.
I saw that Peter FitzSimons has two book covering the topics that I’m wanting to read about next: Mutiny on the Bounty, and Batavia.
I’ve never read anything by him before and I see a lot of mixed opinions about his books or his writing style in general.
I’m curious if I should bother or not?
And if he’s not the best author to go to for these topics, can anyone suggest me some authors who have covered the story of the Bounty and Batavia who have done a great job?
