I'm looking for nonfiction, but if you know a super interesting fiction book about the spice trade, I'd still love to hear about it.
I'm curious about nonfiction about the spice trade, but not about the part of it that ends in Europe. All I learned about the spice trade in school were the bits about trade into and out of Europe instead of trade within Asia or Africa, which I actually want to learn about
Also, ideally, an author who is from Asia or Africa, not a European author.
Any suggestions?
