Okay this might sound like a weird request, but i'm developing as a writer and reading a lot more as a result. Something i've been thinking is that a lot of what i'm reading is potentially outside of the level of writing (style, complexity etc) that I would even want to write. So i'd like to read more 'average' novels. Books that are easy to read, the story is fun, there were no noticeably BAD errors… but you weren't stopping to marvel at the beauty of the writing itself.
Thanks for any suggestions!

I’ve been working my way through the Harry Potter series, and I would put them in that category. Rowling obviously has a very vivid imagination, but the writing itself is pretty “meh”.
