I am on the hunt for some good, orriginal(ish) science fiction. So much of what i find lately seems to be formulaic space/military conquest pulp fiction, and while that type of literature has a time and a place I am looking for something…. not that… Science Fiction grounded in some actual Scientific practice or at least theory is definitely appreciated.
Throw you suggestions my way, bonus points if there is an AudioBook available as most of my Literature consumption is currently Audiobooks during my commute.

The Expanse
Try *Children of Time* or *Service Model* by Adrian Tchaikovsky
Have you tried searching this sub?
The Hainish Cycle by UK Le Guin is incredible. You. Can start anywhere but I’d recommend starting with The Left Hand of Darkness or the Anthology of the first 3 novellas called Worlds of Exile and Illusion.
Anything by Andy Weir is good, but *Project Hail Mary* is his best. I listened to the audiobook, and it’s very well done. Most of his stuff is also scientifically valid, it’s still fiction, but he’s good at staying in the realm of plausibility.
